Terms of use

These terms apply when you use the SMC - Single Mom Care website and your SMC account. By creating an account or using the site, you accept them.

Your account

• Give accurate information and keep it up to date. SMC relies on it to support you and others fairly.
• Keep your password private. Tell us through the contact page if you think someone else has used your account.
• One account per person. Team member and administrator accounts are created by invitation only.

Respectful use

• Use the site only for its purpose: taking part in SMC programs, events, support and volunteering, and supporting SMC's work.
• Do not upload anything that is not yours to share, or anything harmful, misleading or offensive.
• Do not try to reach information that is not meant for you, interfere with the site, or use automated tools against it.

Programs, events and support

Applying for a program, registering for an event or joining a campaign does not guarantee a place or a particular outcome. SMC decides fairly, based on each program's rules and the places available, and tells you the result in your account.

Donations

• Donations through OMT, Whish or bank transfer are confirmed only after SMC has verified that the money arrived.
• A donation reference identifies your gift; please include it with your transfer.
• If you believe a donation was recorded wrongly, contact us and we will review it.

Content on this site

Text and images on this site belong to SMC or are used with permission. You may share links to our pages. Stories about mothers are published only with their consent.

Suspension

SMC may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and will explain why where it is safe to do so.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page.
