Supporting single mothers and their families

SMC - Single Mom Care is a non-profit organization (NGO) dedicated to single mothers and their children in Lebanon. Raising a family alone is hard work. We help mothers find support, build skills and connect with a community that understands them.

What we do

• Programs and training: practical courses that help mothers grow their skills, confidence and independence. See our programs.
• Events and workshops: community gatherings, information sessions and activities for mothers and their children. See upcoming events.
• Support when it is needed: mothers can ask SMC for help through their free account, and our team follows each request with care and discretion.
• Campaigns: focused fundraising for specific needs, such as school supplies or seasonal help. See our campaigns.
• Volunteering: our team members and volunteers run events, teach sessions and support families.

How we work

• Dignity first. We never use stigmatizing language or images, and we never share a mother's story without her consent.
• Privacy by default. Personal information is seen only by the SMC staff who need it to help, and every access is recorded.
• Accountability. Donations count in our totals only once our finance team has confirmed they arrived, and every financial decision is checked by a second person.
• Honest reporting. Our impact figures are published only after review, and small groups are never shown in a way that could identify anyone.
